"From Vows to Vibes" is the line Celebrations by Sheereen uses to describe itself, and it is a fair summary of the business model: a Melbourne-based marriage celebrant who will also run the reception as MC, and who has helped execute, by her own count, hundreds of weddings. On the ABIA Weddings directory, where she is listed as an ABIA Partner, she carries a 5.0 rating across 40 reviews.

Sheereen — "Yes, my parents really gave me 4 E's!", as her About page puts it — describes herself as "a calm and steady presence, offering you guidance when you need it the most". The path to the job ran through the back end of the industry first: "From wrangling wedding entertainment logistics with my partner-in-crime to becoming an authorised marriage celebrant extraordinaire," she writes, "my journey has always been a whirlwind of magic and meticulous planning." She and her partner are the owners of Vibe Entertainment Co., which her site describes as an award-winning entertainment company they have run "for years now".

The celebrant side comes in three tiers, pitched at "the quick hitch-ers, the in-betweeners, and the full shebang-ers". Quick Hitch is the no-frills option: an initial Zoom meet-and-greet, all the legal paperwork handled "from filing to finalisation", a location of the couple's choosing — "a garden, or on a beach" — and "a short and sweet ceremony, exchanging legal vows, with two witnesses of your choosing", after which she registers the marriage.

Tie-The-Knot is the full ceremony. It adds a personalised script the couple can review in advance or keep as a surprise, help writing vows and choosing readings or rituals, unlimited Zoom meetings and phone calls, a Bose PA and Sennheiser microphone for the vows, lodgement with Births, Deaths and Marriages, and a keepsake marriage certificate. Travel beyond 30 kilometres of the Melbourne CBD is quoted on enquiry.

The MC service — titled, inevitably, "The One With The Microphone" — bolts onto either package. It starts with a template of key details and a Zoom call to build the reception timeline, then on the night covers transitions and announcements, keeping the bridal party prepped for each moment, coordinating with vendors and venue staff, and running speeches and toasts through what the site calls "top-notch audio gear", all delivered in what she describes as an "upbeat and bubbly MC style".

The Complete Wedding Experience

The top tier is where the entertainment-logistics background shows. "Picture this: we handle everything. All you have to do is enjoy your day!" is the pitch for the Complete Wedding Experience, which wraps everything in Tie-The-Knot together with a DJ "who will not only spin your favourite tunes but can also act as your charismatic MC on request", a five-hour open-air photo booth with an attendant and a digital gallery sent after the event, "4x sparkulars and dreamy low-lying fog" for the first dance, and an interactive audio guestbook for guests to leave recorded messages. Couples choose whether the celebrant or the DJ takes the microphone for the reception.

The site is unusually direct about who the package is not for: couples who "prefer traditional, formal weddings without much room for personalised touches or modern twists", who want "a basic, no-frills wedding service", or who already have their vendors lined up. The philosophy behind that runs through every page. "Navigating through the wild world of weddings, I've learned many important lessons," Sheereen writes. "One being that personalisation is key to a truly magical and unforgettable wedding day. That's why you'll find zero cookie cutter approaches here." A testimonial on her site makes the same point from the other side of the aisle: "Sheereen customised a script for our ceremony that was so engaging our guests are still talking about it!"

Her Crowdpleaser listing, on the entertainers' marketplace, gives a price range of $650 to $1,250 and says she travels up to 100 kilometres. The booking process itself is laid out in five steps — a "Virtual Coffee Date" on Zoom, a collaborative script session, the "Legal Loop-de-Loop", an optional rehearsal and venue walk-through, and the day — and the blog currently carries a single post, a guide to choosing the right marriage celebrant. The reviews suggest the method holds up under pressure. "They were an absolute pleasure to deal with during our wedding prep!" reads one displayed on the site. "Just amazing!"
